History and Development 

The history of the BrauKon GmbH clarifies one: 
The obligation into quality, the reliability regarding appointments and the readiness to venture new ideas are those cornerstones of our enterprise, which employs meanwhile 46 members. 

2013

  • BrauKon for beer with character! BrauKon was one of the main sponsors and exhibitors at the Braukunst Live in Munich. In March this international festival of beer specialties took place for the second time. With a 100% increase in terms of number of visitors and exhibitors compared to the previous year the BrauKunst Live was a great success.
  • Successful exhibition at the Craft Brewers Conference in Washington D.C.

2012

Compact CombiMalt OWI1000
  • BrauKon was one of the main sponsors and exhibitors at the Braukunst Live in Munich. In April this international festival of beer specialties took place for the first time.
  • Succesful exhibitions at the World Brewing Congress in Portland as well as at the BrewExpo and the Craft Brewers Conference in San Diego.
  • Extension of the BrauKon offices. Three new offices with 13 workstations were gained through the modification. Additionally the CAD department was equipped with two 3D Inventor stations.
  • The BrauKon produktion hall in Obing has floorspace of 800 m². A new hall is already in planning. The realization is scheduled for mid 2013.
  • Patented Mashing system: Delivery of the 80th AlloySius
  • The 50th brewhouse in the tried and tested BrauKon framework building method has been completed.
  • Tröegs was awarded the best Mid-Size Brewing Company Award at the Great American Beer Festival.
  • Extension of the BrauKon BrauTechnikum with the CombiMalt OWI 1000

2011

Exhibition San Francisoco

  • Start commissioning of a complete new brewery with 140.000 hl annual outcast volume.   
  • Successful presentation in March at the BrewExpo in San Francisco.
  • Meanwhile  12. Dipl. brewers and brewery engineers work for the BrauKon Group. Markus Langer, Andreas Wagner and Sven Leonhardt are now in the team of project managers and commissioning engineers. 
  • Further expansion of the automation department by Anton Schwarz and Stefan Daschiel.
  • From autumn BrauKon exercise two trainees in the business and technical department.
  • Presentation of the new CombiMalt on the brew exhibition with magnificent interest
  • Start planing a new production hall 

2010

Trögs Brewing Company
  • Successful exhibition in April at the BrewExpo in Chicago.
  • Mr. Martin Schwarz support our team since May as a project manager and commissioning.
  • The Company Abfüllzentrum Alz GmbH with the partners Alzgruppe, Brewery Schönram and BrauKon is founded. In the new filler station at the BrauKon Location can be filled up to 3.000 bottles in different equipments and quantities from 0,25 liters to 3 liters.
  • BrauKon receives the orders for the new construction of the 5-vessels-Brewhouse for the Braucommune Freistadt and Schloßbrauerei Unterbaar. With these reference projects BrauKon etablished as the market leader for midsize Breweries.
  • Tank expansion with four fermentor - and six storage tanks in our BrauKon Technikum for meeting the increasing demand for special beers and brew days with customers.
  • The Troegs Brewing Company in Harrisburgh / PA given us the order to build a complete industrial Brewery with a 4 vessels 120 hl Brewhouse and an 20hl additional experimental brewery, which is issued on the Brau Beviale 2010.
  • End of 2010, 29 employees working for the BrauKon group.

2009

  • Start of the construction work for a new office building with warehouse beginning on the company area at the Mühlweg 2.
  • Publication of our new designed Homepage in June.
  • The history of the BrauKon GmbH clarifies one:

  • Movement into the new office and warehouse building in October.
  • BrauKon GmbH awarded to the 100 most innovative enterprises in Germany (SME's).
  • Extension of the BrauKon automation department in September by Martin Hungerhuber, electrical engineer for energy and automation technology.
  • Klaus Rauchenecker became Partner of BrauKon in November 2009, with responsibility for sales.
  • Successful attendance of DrincTec in Munich with incoming orders of close to 2.0 millions €.

2008

Team on the BrauBeviale 2008
  • Beginning of the buildings works in the upper floor of the old mill building in February and on 26th of June great opening celebration of the BrauKon BrauTechnikum, our center of technology.
  • First Brewery celebration of the new founded Brewery „Camba Bavaria “, a subsidiary operation and sales enterprise for the BrauTechnikum.
  • A further milestone is the order of the extension to a 4-vessel Brewhouse with 190 hl outcast quantity and the modernization of the existing equipment of the popular Tegernseer Brewery at 19th of August.
  • End of 2008 works 25 members are involved into the BrauKon group.
  • Dominik Wiedenbauer (Dipl. Ing. Brauwesen) reinforces the team as project manager.

2007

Brewhouse for Svaneke
First open door day
  • Entrance of Christian Nuber as BrauKon partner in January with the competence in sale and marketing.
  • Best month of the young company history in February with the brewery - orders Svaneke/Denmark, 120hl Brewhouse and a complete brewery in Liechtenstein. 
  • First open door day at 30th of June presenting a complete 4-vessel brewhouse 50 hl.

2006

  • First large brewery modification in Germany at the Hirsch Brauerei in Sonthofen. Outcast volume 160hl; Production stop from brew toi brew only 21 days later.
  • First international modification and automation order of a 350 hl Brewhouse in Port Harcourt, Nigeria
  • Andreas Fischer and Christian Kull joined BrauKon as project manager.
  • At the end of 2006 works twelve members are involved for the BrauKon group.

2005

New BrauKon office building
Exhibition DrinkTec in Munich
  • Start-up of the first fully automatic BrauKon Brewhosue plant in Harrisburg in March.
  • Movement into the new BrauKon premises at Mühlweg 2 in Truchtlaching, with it's own production hall and roomy office buildings on July, 1.
  • Entrance of Friedrich Banke as BrauKon partner in September with the competences in research and development.
  • First Large fair attendance at DrinkTec, the world largest beverage fair, in Munich showing a complete 40 hl Brewhouse for the monastery brewery in Mallersdorf
  • Christian Nuber strengthens the sales team

2004

First office building
  •  Entrance of Eckhard Kurbjuhn as BrauKon partner in August with the competence in technology and service. 
  • First Order of a brewhouse with 30 hl cast out volume at the Tröegs Brewing Company in Harrisburgh; Pennsylvania.
  • First fair appearances in April on the BrewExpo America in San Diego, California and in November on the brewing fair BrauBeviale in Nuremberg.
    Movement into the first office in November in the Chiemseestraße 8 in Truchtlaching. 
  • Klaus Rauchenecker reinforced the sales department

2003

Markus Lohner BrauKon GmbH
  • Establishment of the company BrauKon GmbH on 27 of June by Markus Lohner, at that time brewmaster in the Hofbräuhaus Newport, KT, one of the most successful pub breweries in the USA.
  • The goal is the development of professional brewery plants, which are particularly adapted to the requirements of medium-sized breweries.
